Stream Monitoring

Volunteer Responsibilities:​​
  • Adopt your favorite stretch of a stream or river to monitor for invasive species
  • Conduct a standardized survey that will help you in locating invasive species
  • Collect samples/photos for verification of any suspicious looking plants/animals
  • Record and report findings to WRISC
 
Benefits:
  • Learn to identify aquatic invasive species (AIS)
  • Help ensure rapid response to new AIS in our river systems
