About the event

Garlic Mustard is an invasive species that grows in shaded forest understories and outcompetes native plants for limited space and resources. Your efforts at this workday will help keep the trails and forest habitats, of both the private properties and the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, invasive-free and prevent Garlic Mustard from spreading to new areas.

This activity involves kneeling and bending. Standing weed-grabbers can be supplied if needed.

Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear close-toed shoes. Garden/work gloves are recommended. A light snack and water will be provided.

Bug spray and head nets are recommended!
