About the event
Between May 9th and May 20th, Wild Rivers ISC will have an invasive species drop-off set up in the parking lot of the USDA Service Center. If you bring in an invasive shrub, you will get a coupon for a native plant replacement! Coupons are valued at $5 and are only valid at our participating local greenhouses:
- Chenier's Greenhouse in Norway, MI
- Flowerland Greenhouse in Iron Mountain, MI
You can bring in an unlimited number of invasive shrubs. But vouchers are limited to $50.
Common invasive shrubs include Japanese Barberry, Honeysuckle, Buckthorn, and Autumn Olive.
