About the event
Join us for a native seed bomb workshop!
We'll make seed bombs with native wildflower seed mix. Seed bombs are a mix of soil, clay, and seeds that are packed into a ball and can be tossed into gardens or thrown into areas, introducing native plants and allowing the seeds to grow. Seed bombs are often used in "guerilla gardening" however we recommend using your seed bombs on your own property or securing permission from property owners if interested in distributing them elsewhere.
We'll also discuss some common invasive species and their native plant alternatives and the benefits of native plants.
This fun activity is great for all ages, but can be a bit messy! We'll provide gloves.
This event is free and open to the public.
